| 2008 - May the New Year be as bright as the last! As we reflect on our debut year, we are greatly encouraged by the critical praise, recognition in the press, and most importantly the reception that we have received by our growing fan base. We entered our very first competition over the 2007 Memorial Day Weekend, the Critics Challenge, in San Diego, California. In a field of 1,700 wines from 16 countries, judged by 14 wine journalists, our Cali's Cuvee was awarded a Critics Gold, our 2005 Chardonnay, a Critics Silver, and now, 2008, we are eagerly awaiting the results of this year's competition. More recently, our 2004 Suzanne's Estate Reserve Pinot Noir received 90 points and a gold medal for the Beverage Tasting Institute's 2007 World Wine Championships. Left Coast has been profiled recently in the West Salem Today of the Statesman Journal for our anticipated truffle growing endeavors and as a featured winery in the May issue of the Oregon Wine Press. Our wines have also been recognized by food and wine writer, Katherine Cole, in The Oregonian, and reviewed in Wine Press Northwest, NW Palate and Wine Enthusiast.
