| With the long hang times of the 2005 vintage, Cali’s Cuvee is a complex and robust wine that speaks to a sense of Left Coast terroir. A dark plum nose is supported by undertones of rich mossy earth and saddle leather. Pomegranate and rhubarb fruit on the palate is accentuated by a cayenne pepper spice, pipe tobacco and graphite minerality followed by a lingering woodsy finish. The firm tannin structure and moderate acidity of this Pinot will stand up to game meat such as goose, duck and venison, as well more traditional fare. Drink now through 2012.
