April 22 will see the launch of the "Bee Sustainable" wine program, and every Saturday after Memorial Day will feature live music with extended hours until 7 p.m., kicking off with a fundraising barbecue June 4 to aid the neighboring town of Perrydale in purchasing a new fire engine.

Formerly of King Estate's catering department, Carolynn Andringa is the in-house chef at Left Coast. She creates dishes that pair well with the winery's handcrafted Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc. With access to the estate garden... The daily menu includes panini, homemade soups, flatbread pizzas, fresh hummus, cheese, antipasto plates, decadent desserts and Andringa's signature savory pie - a rustic, egg-based cross between quiche and bread pudding.

California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and Cal Poly Vines to Wines Club honored Left Coast Cellars' winemaker Luke McCollom in March 2010, for outstanding contributions to the wine industry. Selected from more than one hundred Cal Poly Alumni, Luke is the first winemaker outside of the state of California to be chosen.
